The Slovenian chef who was recently voted the world’s best will cook at London’s Westbury Hotel
Ana Ros, the celebrated chef at Hiša Franko in Slovenia’s lush Soča Valley, is to don her chef’s whites to cook at London’s prestigious Westbury Hotel. Ros, who was recently awarded the title of World’s Best Female Chef, is well-known internationally having featured in Netflix’s Chef’s Table.
She’ll be cooking at Alyn Williams’ 5th annual CHEFstock at the Westbury Hotel, London, on June 14. Tickets are moving fast – this is a one night only experience and London’s gourmets are keen to sample the culinary expertise of the Slovenian chef who beat off competition from a field of 50 to pick up her title in Melbourne, Australia.
At Hišo Franko, which she runs with her husband, wine specialist Valter Kramar, she focuses on seasonal, local food: a zero-kilometre policy is taken very seriously. The restaurant’s superb food has helped put the Soča Valley and Slovenian cuisine firmly on the map, with Slovenia fast becoming a magnet for lovers of fine dining.
