Gorenje, the Slovenian manufacturer of household appliances, is introducing its products in the Middle East
There are few households in Slovenia, and even in its near neighbours Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia, that do not own at least one Gorenje appliance. The Velenje-based company is one of Slovenia’s best-known companies and now they are targeting the Middle East with an unveiling of their product range in Muscat, the capital city of Oman. Officially Gorenje products will be on sale there from early 2018.
Gorenje was founded in 1961 and now employs more than 10,000 staff with production facilities in Slovenia and research & development centres in Belgium, Sweden and Serbia. Gorenje’s motto is “Life simplified” and the company is well known for the special emphasis it places on ease of use of its products.
Aesthetics are, of course, also important: Gorenje has already collaborated with famed French designer Philippe Starck to create the sleep Ora Ito range of built-in appliances (pictured below).
